Cycle 19 of America's Next Top Model, also known as Cycle 19: College Edition, premiered on August 24, 2012 on The CW and concluded on November 16, 2012. This cycle featured only girls who were enrolled in college.

Perhaps the biggest change for this cycle was a number-based scoring system. Every challenge and photoshoot performance was scored on a scale of 1-10; one score for the challenge and three scores from the three main judges. There is also a live average public voting, making a maximum 50-points. The girl with the lowest score each week is eliminated.

This cycle also introduced the "Comeback Series", where eliminated girls still participated in every photo shoot for a web series. One girl will return solely on the public voting sometime midway in the cycle, though the losers will still participate in the remaining shoots, and their photos will still be available to be voted on by the public to avoid spoilers.

Tyra Banks reprises her role as host for the nineteenth consecutive time, while Kelly Cutrone returns as a main judge for the second time. Nigel Barker was fired from the show after the previous cycle in an attempt to revitalize the show. He is replaced by model Rob Evans. Mr. Jay and Ms. Jay were also fired. Fashion blogger Bryanboy joins as the Interpreter of the social media voting. Johnny Wujek replaces Mr. Jay as the creative director of photo shoots.

Laura James from Paul Smith's College in New York was crowned as the winner of the cycle.

Trivia[]

  • This is the first cycle to feature the numerical scoring system.
  • This cycle also introduced the "comeback" aspect, where previously eliminated contestants would continue to participate in the photoshoots and fans would vote for their favourite. The contestant with the highest average fan score would be brought back into the competition.
  • The international destination for the cycle was Ocho Rios, Jamaica. This was the second time the show has traveled there, the first time being in cycle 3. This is also the second cycle where the girls don't go outside North America, the first being cycle 13.
  • This is the final cycle to date to feature thirteen finalists.
  • This is the first cycle to have no guest judges at the judging panel.
  • This is the first cycle to not have Covergirl as one of the prizes since it was introduced in cycle 3.
  • This is the first cycle since cycle 9 to have the title format be "The Girl Who..."
